Bk'Tar grew up on the frontier world of Rollak IV where the jungle was thick and the poisonious creatures were plentiful. His mother and Father were both scientists on a biology station and he found his fascination for science with them.
Living in the dome covered by thick jungle, Bk'Tar rarely went outside and so confined himself to studies and to helping around the place. He was the only child to be on such a remote station and so had no friends while growing up.
When he became of age, he decided to enroll himself in to the Gorn Space Navy and went through with flying colors. He was stationed to Starbase G-121 on the Kzinti/Gorn frontier and there worked himself up to the rank of Senior Lieutenant.
On stardate 237812.30, Senior Lieutenant Bk'Tar was offered the position of Chief Tactical officer onboard a re-commisioned Bravery Class Gorn Cruiser, the GSN Gorn Talon. He knew that this class of ship was old and obselete, but he was tired to the starbase life and so quickly transferred to Tactical of the Gorn Talon.
Bk'Tar is a friendly out-going Gorn who has no trouble talking to anybody no matter what their race is. He does have a slight arogant streak that surfaces once in awhile.
After two adventures with Senior Commander Tk'lnn, Bk'Tar has become a close friend to the Captain and both trust each other implicitly.
