The GSN Gorn Talon is diverted from picking up a ferengi to Delta Omicron XI where a plague called Traveler's death has broken out. Their is a possibility that the Romulans are involved and they are to try to stop the plague.
The GSN Gorn Talon makes it's way to Delta Omicron XI as fast as it can and to the surprise of Senior Commander Tk'Lnn, Neekera Tev, their medical doctor, is picked to join a freighter of medicine to try to treat the plague victims. On their way there their newly returned Bk'Tar locates a freighter that is infected and when it used defensive phasers to stop it the ship exploded!
Once they arrived they discovered that the ship was infected also andn the test medicine did not work. Commander Morg, Senior Ensign Tak, and Senior Ensign Neekera are sent over and they discover they cannot get back since the desease was clinging to their armor. They transport down to the planet while Senior Commander Tk'lnn has to take his ship to raid a renegade Romulan's freighter for the antidote that they are going to use as a bribe.
The GSN Gorn Talon is fatally wounded in that attack and now has been de-commissioned by the Gorn Confederation. and it is rescued by a Squadren of vessels carrying the antidote. Neekera and Tak were left on the planet where Tak fights off a person who is selling water to the thirsty. He was hailed as the 'Mighty Lizard' and Tak now has to figure out why the people don't have the plague.
